School Streets A friendly reminder that Barratt Ave is transitioning into a pilot “School Street”. This is an important aspect of Isaac Brock’s plan for welcoming students back to school and adapting to transportation limitations. Isaac Brock needs School Street Volunteers Barratt Ave will be a School Street closed to vehicles to support children’s health and safety, part of Isaac Brock’s COVID-19 plan for this fall. School Streets are a temporary road closure to create space for students and parents for physical distancing, and a safer street for students who are walking, biking, and rolling to school. Effective immediately, while adhering to the social distancing guidelines put in place by the province of Manitoba, all event rentals will be in the gym only with a 50 person capacity. There will be no small room rentals for now. Just a reminder that since we are not open until September 8th we will be holding three registration days this month. Thursday, August 20 10:00am – 3:00 pm. Wednesday, August 26 9:00am – 12:00pm. Thursday, August 27 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Please if you have access to a printer, print out the registration form and bring it in pre-filled out on one of the dates above or please call the centre to make other arrangements. Thank you!
UPDATE: We have hired someone for the 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday position and are now only seeking subs. Thank you. We are hiring for one part time position in our After School Program at our Isaac Brock site. The hours are 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The job duties will consist of supervising the children in our program as well as light cleaning and sanitizing throughout the centre.
