Effective immediately, while adhering to the social distancing guidelines put in place by the province of Manitoba, all event rentals will be in the gym only with a 50 person capacity. There will be no small room rentals for now. Rates are as follows: Isaac Brock Gym $50/HR Clifton Gym $60/HR Orioles Gym $60/HR Again, that is a 50 Person capacity for events in the gym and VCC will not be renting out smaller spaces at this time. Just a reminder that since we are not open until September 8th we will be holding three registration days this month. Thursday, August 20 10:00am – 3:00 pm. Wednesday, August 26 9:00am – 12:00pm. Thursday, August 27 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Please if you have access to a printer, print out the registration form and bring it in pre-filled out on one of the dates above or please call the centre to make other arrangements. Thank you!
UPDATE: We have hired someone for the 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday position and are now only seeking subs. Thank you. We are hiring for one part time position in our After School Program at our Isaac Brock site. The hours are 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The job duties will consist of supervising the children in our program as well as light cleaning and sanitizing throughout the centre. Valour Community Centre’s School Rec Program will be re-opening on September 8th, 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines we have made several changes to our program. To our West End community, We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy amid the lifting of restrictions. Unfortunately even with some of the restrictions being relaxed Valour Community Centre’s three sites will remain closed. Our executive board had a meeting at which we discussed possible scenarios for being open and staying safe. We are still not open due to Covid-19 and there still isn’t any update as to whether or not we’ll have a football season this year, but big things are happening at our Clifton site!
