Valour Community Centre, a testament to the collective spirit of our community, was born in 2006 through the amalgamation of the city's West End community centres: Clifton, Orioles, and Isaac Brock. This initiative was driven by the need for a larger board of directors, representing diverse voices from across the community, to bring new and different ideas to the table. The amalgamation not only safeguarded the existence of all three centres but also ensured more efficient use of finances, a true reflection of our community's resilience and resourcefulness.

After 17 years, the three sites are not just surviving, but thriving. They are a beacon of support and activity for the West End community. With a wide range of programs, from childcare to sports and leisure, and facilities for indoor and outdoor activities, there is something for everyone, regardless of age or ability. 

The backbone of every community centre is a group of volunteer board members and facility staff dedicated to ensuring the centres meet the needs of their community. We highly value and encourage all community members to get involved, attend board meetings, and provide feedback when possible!
